Jane McCampbell is a licensed associate marriage and family therapist who received her Masters degree from Bethel Seminary in St Paul, MN. She provides therapy to individuals and couples and has daytime and some evening hours available in her Edina and Roseville locations.
Therapeutic Approach
Jane uses a systems approach to therapy that takes into account the family of origin of the client. She believes that many patterns of interaction, core beliefs and even concerns such as anxiety, abuse or infidelity can be passed down through the generations. She has a specific interest in abuse and trauma issues, relational and sexual issues, anxiety, phobias and spiritual abuse, but has worked with individuals and couples on many kinds of concerns, including long term unemployment, workplace difficulties and the unique stressors of immigration and cultural-differences. She is also trained in EMDR - a life-changing treatment for clients struggling with traumatic memories and the debilitating emotions that often accompany them, such as shame and anxiety.
Before becoming a therapist ...
Jane is originally from London, England and has been in the U.S. since 2002. For many years she volunteered in central London at a 24-hour helpline and drop-in center for the suicidal and despairing. Therapy is her second career following 17 successful years in business, ranging from small start-ups to multi-national corporations. She still offers consulting in strategic planning, marketing and branding to businesses on a part-time basis. In her spare time, she also serves as an adjunct faculty member in a marriage and family therapy graduate program.
